Chaotic Morphs aka Øivind Olsen has been involved in music since the mid-70s. He played the organ and synthesizer in a variety of bands until he, in the early 2000s, “found himself” through electronic music.
Øivind Olsen’s main instrument is a constantly expanding, self built Serge modular synth.
Serge was originally made as an affordable, diy-kit synth by Serge Tcherepnin in California in the early 70s. Over the years it has gained status as a cult instrument for free music.

“Q” is Chaotic Morphs first album release, though for years he’s been an active self-publisher on the internet, where he has an international audience.
The album is inspired by a trip to NYC. The compositions tries to reflect both the chaos and the tranquility and anonymity found in the big city. The title and cover art plays with the similarities between modular sytnh patch sheets and metro line maps.
