You could totally be next to me is a manifestation of the friendship between Camila (Opuntia) and Jenny (Berger Myhre) who have kept each other close through voice messages for over a decade.
In this album, the listener is invited into the warmth of sleep and under the skin of the artists in a gentle, thoughtful manner. The music is composed by Jenny to hold the fragility and intimacy of Camila’s waking thoughts — wandering through dream residue, drum machine in hand. The album is a continuation of their friendship (as heard in Jenny’s sophomore album Here Is Always Somewhere Else), but it also marks the beginning of their collaboration, with its beautiful blend of intention and serendipity. Jenny’s sounds slip in and out of tune, harmony and rhythms, shadowing the sometimes absurd and suddenly illuminated thoughts of Camila as she recollects her dreams.
